Dining

We aim to provide full taste foods which means “fresh, natural and nutritious”. As far as practicable, we source all our food from local organic/traditional farmers and seek line caught local fish. All eggs are local/free range organic. Our meats are from Galloway free roaming grass fed animals. Depending on weather conditions, Afternoon Teas, High Teas and Champagne Teas are served in the Main Dining Room or the Bay View lawn.

Private Dining

The “Alexander Room” is dedicated to fine food and may be booked for more formal private and  special occasions. This elegant room commands the best Bay views and the mahogany Victorian table expands for up to 10 persons with an optional small table for a combined 14 persons. Crystal service with award winning bespoke fine dining.

Main Dining Room

The Main Dining Room is smart-casual/formal dining experience with our Head Chef Andrew Westwood preparing a variety of daily menu offerings.

The Bar and Conservatory provide informal luncheons and light meals.

Al Fresco Dining (subject to weather conditions);

The Kitchen Herbal Garden has the dual function of providing fresh herbs for the kitchen as well as being an intimate garden dining experience which catches the warmth of the westerly sun. This ornamental garden venue specialises in sizzling BBQ meals using local meats and sea foods. Also, main Dining Room menu dishes including light foods and wine or beers may also be ordered. This garden area catches the full afternoon sun and is generally wind protected and has garden views. On sunny days with light breezes, Al fresco dining will also be offered on the Bay view lawn for a stunning vista across the beautiful bay.

Cocoa Café

This beach-side café opens in 2021 and caters for both hotel residents, as well as beach walkers, bird watchers etc., and is a welcome stop over for Italian coffee, organic teas, hot chocolates, local dairy ice creams. As well as snacks and Take-Away meals, home made cakes using organic and gluten free recipes, – Keto coffee/cakes are also served. The café provides free biscuits for dogs and a free apples for horses, – cats and stray donkeys miss out.
